Crime Alert: Burglars Posing as Tree Trimmers

Police warn residents be on the lookout for these criminals who robbed a man in Wauwatosa.

The Menomonee Falls Police Department issued a warning Monday to alert residents about another incident involving men posing as tree trimmers to enter homes and rob people.

At 1:30 pm Wednesday, an elderly man was robbed by two males posing as tree trimmers at his home near 114th Street and Bluemound Road in Wauwatosa. One manΒ  knocked on the victim's door and talked him into having some tree work done. The other apparently snuck into the house and stole approximately $1000 cash the victim had in an envelope. The suspect stated he needed to "set up the chipper", but he soon left in the below vehicle.

The suspects are desribed as two Hispanic males, 25 - 30 years old. One suspect is described as 5-foot-8 with a medium build and black hair. The suspects left in a dark colored SUV or van.
