Bar Patron Punches Bar Owner After Being Cut Off

Player's Pub patron was arrested for simple assault earlier this week.

You know you’ve had a few too many drinks if the bartender cuts you off. However, punching the bartender is likely not the best way to protest.

A female patron at Player’s Pub was arrested for simple assault of the bartender at 12:32 a.m. on Sunday. The patron punched the bar owner after the owner cut her off from drinking any more.  The woman’s blood-alcohol level was 0.10, according to a preliminary breath test.

Also in the reports:

  • On Christmas Eve, a burglar entered a home on Town Line Road sometime between 1 p.m. and 8 p.m. and stole a television. The family suspected it was their son.
  • Officers responded to a strange call Saturday at Auto Zone on Main Street. A person reported a vehicle had been running for three hours in the parking lot and no one had left. Officers found a woman who appeared disoriented, sweating profusely, and had urinated through her pants on the seat. The woman didn’t answer questions from officers and refused to exit the vehicle. She left the scene driving at low speeds and officers followed her as she committed numerous traffic violations.
  • A 45-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for retail theft at 3:37 a.m. Dec. 23 at Woodman’s. The man stole three 16-pack containers of batteries valued at $29.97. He was booked and released with a state charge of retail theft.
  • A 27-year-old woman was pulled over for speeding near Appleton Avenue and Premier Lane on Dec. 27. She was in possession of marijuana and a glass pipe and was booked for her third offense for possession. She was also booked for her second offense for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Uh no. Well it was actually nicer than I expected but it is a dive bar that smells like mold. They must have gotten water in there a few times. As well as vomit. It's a pretty nasty ass bar.

What's the deal with the AutoZone episode listed above? They follow an apparently unsafe driver to where? and nothing is mentioned about tickets or an arrest? Is this proper protocol?

I witnessed that Main St. fiasco because I live in the Apts off Jefferson and watched it out my window and walked to the road to watch what I couldn't see. There were 2-3 squad cars following her off and on for over an hour. u-turns by Radisson, then Auto Zone, sat in the middle of the road, one headlight & tinted windows. Numerous violations is correct, going through red lights, driving 10-15 mph, stopping in middle of road, it was crazy.

Players is a old dive bar where the owners are great people. The bartenders are fun and nice. We go there and get treated as family. Not trying to be a fancy place. Just a good friendly place to get a nice drink. And no one deserves to be punched in the face for doing a service and stopping a person from drinking too much!
