A Pair of 'Scrappy' Crimes in Falls

A scrap metal thief and a another domestic violence arrest for a woman fall under the 'scrappy,' category.

A former employee of Hydraulic Service and Manufacturing is suspected of stealing and selling scrap metal.

The former employee, a 36-year-old man from West Bend, is suspected of taking scrap metal from Hydraulic Service and selling it to American Metal and Paper Recycling. A contact at the recycling center said the 36-year-old had been selling scrap there from November 2012 through May 17.

Police are continuing to gather video evidence from American Metal and Paper to identify the West Bend man making the transaction.

Argumentative Woman Arrested for Disorderly Conduct

A 37-year-old woman was arrested Saturday after she got into a fight with her live-in boyfriend outside of Whiskey Corners on Town Line Road.

The woman allegedly slapped her boyfriend in the head. When witnesses tried to calm her down, she continued to attack her boyfriend and punched and kicked other witnesses in the process. When police asked her questions about the incident, she started arguing and resisting officers.

Officers quickly determined that this wasn’t the first scrap between the woman and her boyfriend. She has a pending battery case with her boyfriend as the victim. The woman was arrested on two counts of disorderly conduct, bail jumping, and resisting an officer.Β
