2nd Run-In With Police Leads To Couple's Arrest

Man became combative and advanced on an officer in a boxer-like stance.

The second time meeting police Wednesday didn't end well for a 21-year-old Menomonee Falls woman and her boyfriend.

According to a Menomonee Falls Police report:

At approximately 3:15 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to a verbal domestic dispute call involving the woman. Police discovered that the woman was intoxicated, and she told police she would be walking to a hotel with her 21-year-old boyfriend.

About 4:40 a.m. residents of the location of the verbal dispute told police that both had returned to the place of the initial incident, and had left heading north on Pilgrim Road.

Police spotted the woman’s vehicle and pulled her over along Pilgrim Road for expired plates. Police saw that her eyes were glassy and the odor of alcohol was on her breath. She was asked to perform a field-sobriety test, which she failed.

During the process of her test, her boyfriend became combative with police officers and was disruptive. The man eventually made a move toward an officer, and advanced on him in a boxer-like stance.

The woman was arrested and cited for an OWI, and the man was booked and cited for obstructing. Both were later released.
