Firing Weapons in Falls Ends in Arrest of Residents

One individual was intoxicated while firing a handgun in his backyard along Roosevelt Drive.

The Menomonee Falls Police Department arrested two people in two days for firing a couple shots in the village.

On April 7, police responded to the W20000 of Lisbon Road after they received a report of a woman firing a shotgun several times from the rear of her porch. Based on records, police knew she had been arrested multiple times for having a firearm while intoxicated.Β 

Falls and Brookfield police set up a perimeter around the house, and eventually contacted the 56-year-old woman. She told police she was firing a long gun in her backyard. She was arrested for prohibited discharge of a weapon.

The following day, police were called to a home on the W17000 block of Roosevelt Drive because neighbors heard shots fired at a nearby residence. Police contacted the man at his home, and he admitted to firing a gun, while intoxicated, in his backyard. Police recovered the firearm and several spent rounds. The man’s weapons were recovered for safekeeping.Β
