Westley was a carpenter. He retired from A.O. Smith after 17 years of dedicated service. He proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII.

Westley A. Wortman found peace on October 2, 2012 at the age of 87. Beloved husband and best friend of Ruth for 65 years. Loving father of Linda (Dave) Courtier, Alan (Penny) Wortman, Cindy Wortman, John Wortman, Jim (Gayle) Wortman and Theresa (Steve) Schlosser. Proud grandpa of Michelle, David, Daniel, Westley, Sam, Paul and Emily. Great-grandpa of Lyric, Orion, Brandon and Andrew. Great-great grandpa of Adrianna. Further survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2012 at the Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home until the Memorial Service. Private inurnment at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
