Menomonee Falls Kohl’s Associates Give Back, Go Green
Menomonee Falls Kohl's associates among more than 250 Kohl's volunteers to lend a hand at Camp Long Lake in St. Cloud, Wis.
On Thursday, April 25, more than 250 associate volunteers from Kohl’s Department Stores in Milwaukee, Madison and Green Bay helped the Boy Scouts of America – Potawatomi Council get Camp Long Lake, in St. Cloud, Wis., ready for summer. Associates from Kohl’s Menomonee Falls store were part of this group. The volunteers built new fire pits, ran electrical lines, picked up brush, built carports, painted and mulched.
The volunteer effort was part of Kohl’s fourth annual National Go Green Event (NGG) in celebration of National Volunteer Week and Earth Day (see below for more details). During NGG, the company will donate a total of $2 million in grants to nonprofits nationwide for the fourth year in a row, including approximately $33,000 in grants for Boy Scouts of America – Potawatomi Council.
