Online Banking (Bill Pay): Fun, Safe, Convenient

Move yourself to the next level and enter the fun and exciting world of online banking's bill pay.

Do you have any fears about online banking? Please share.

Old or young, this is a great way to do your banking. I am knowledgeable on three different banks' online programs. It is getting cost effective to reach out to even some of the smallest banks and credit unions too.

What is your fear? Someone can access your account? These sites are secured by criptic and great IT programs.

Once I set up Billpay, I don't want someone to get unauthorized money: The beauty of Billpay is that you are 100 percent in control of who gets paid and when. No more autodebits from your account by merchants, utility companies, and creditors. However, if you set up reoccuring payments, then payments will go out automatically each month.

Convenient: Once all the payees (creditors) are set up on billpay the time it takes to do your weekly or monthly is drastically reduced.

How does it work?

Go to your billpay screen, select the creditor (ex. We Energies), enter the amount you want to send, date you want them to receive it, then click submit. In most cases, it is done electronically. If the payment can't be sent electronically, the bank mails the payment (no postage). How can you beat that for making life simple?

To send send money to a person, select person to person. This is fun. You send an email which has a code in it. The person opens the email, enters their banking info along with a code they received in the email. Then submit. The person gets the money and you dont see their banking info and the same goes that no one sees yours. Safety.
