Housing Market on the Move Upward?

Recent housing sales and activity seems to be up. Do you think the Milwaukee real estate market gaining momentum?

The housing market appears to be moving in Menomonee Falls. My neighbors house was on the market last year with little activity. The house went back on the market in February. It how has an accepted offer. I noticed another neighbor appears to have had a home inspection. The sign hasn't changed but I expect it too.

What is your take in your town and in your your neighborhood? Is the Milwaukee real estate market gaining some traction?

The market will only be moving upward when sold prices go up. They are all selling at market low prices. The homes that have been on the market and selling fast all depends on how low the seller is willing to go because of their desperation for the money over price.

I have always looked at my home as a place to live rather than an investment, and I never plan to sell, so I view this from the fringes. If anything, the boom in the price of housing hurt me through a rise in property taxes.
One could view the drop in home prices as a necessary market correction. It's very sad for the people who got caught in it and are now forced to sell.

Menomonee Falls for about 5 weeks running has home sales listed in the Sunday paper at 10+ units each week. The wheels of the market are on the move.

First of all, you don't pay taxes. Second, 90% of the proceeds go to huge corporations. Third, it isRead More very disingenuous for you to say that "80% of relief goes to President Obama's definition of middle-class taxpayers." In more appropriate words, that is a flat out LIE.

I agree with Nuitari (just this one time). I think I like the old version of the Patch MUCH better!

I agree too. But WISN likes to run the light version of news, only covering topics they feel weRead More should know about- or fits their agenda.

I think that the Patch is making a sincere effort to actually get into what Conservatives refer toRead More as “elite journalism.” What Conservatives mean by that is, people who read, write, present facts, and possess the ability to actually analyze written articles, and provide fact-based responses, rather than snarky, juvenile or scatological, religious dogma. Those of you still wearing your loin cloths since birth, and still living in your caves need not participate…

Thought it would be interesting. Just confirms my belief over cops and cell phones.

Thanks Carl. It will be interesting to see what develops.

Scott Walker is definitely the antidote for B. Hussein Obama's Socialist maneuvers. Everything ObamaRead More effed up over 8 years can be repaired by reform expert Scott Walker. I just hope it will not be too late. POS POTUS will have us spending 80% of our income in taxes.
