Hips, Hamstrings & Quads

Put a spring in your stride; work with the tightness of the athletic body. A typical runner experiences too much pounding, tightening, and shortening of the muscles and not enough restorative, elongating, and loosening work. Runners can use yoga practice to balance strength, increase range of motion, and train the body and mind. Yoga is a perfect complement to your running practice.

Putting a practice in place will correct strength and flexibility imbalances which will help prevent injuries due to the repetitive nature of endurance sports.

This master class will begin with a more aggressive yang style practice warming the body fluidly connecting the movement with breath strengthening the core, finding flexibility, proper alignment and balance. We will end with a quieting Yin practice to release the tensions in the hamstrings, hips, and quadriceps.
