A sneak peek at what's happening in the village this week.

It's likely that this coming week will not match the eventful weekend in Menomonee Falls. Sunday night saw the closing of Falls Fest, which opened on July 21. Thousands enjoyed a weekend of softball, live music, beer and food.

Although this coming week may not be as exciting, here's what's on the schedule in the village.

The School Board is back in business. After not holding a meeting last month, the Menomonee Falls School Board will get back into the swing of things 7 p.m. Monday at . The board will approve a few new hires, and take a closer look at a new policy requiring background checks for volunteers.

Behind closed doors. The and the Community Development Authority will hold a joint closed session meeting Monday to discuess negotiations with developers regarding several taxing districts throughout the village.

Get your name out there. A Tri-County Networking meeting will be held at 7:30 a.m. Monday at . and build closer relationships with business leaders in the area.

Help the cheer teams raise money. The varsity cheerleading team will host a Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and at W156N8390 Pilgrim Rd. The junior varsity squad will hold a rummage sale from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the cafeteria in MFHS.
