Here's a look at what's coming up this week in the village.

Playoffs on the line Friday

The Menomonee Falls Indians varsity football team needing a win to clinch a spot in the state playoffs. The game starts at 7 p.m., and admission is $4. Last week, the Indians defeated West Allis Hale on Homecoming Night to keep their hopes alive.

School Board to discuss field study

The Menomonee Falls School Board will discuss a proposal to launch a five-year analysis of the district's athletic facilities at 7 p.m. Monday. The study is estimated to cost roughly $5,000. The district may consider with artifical turf, and this is the first step in a six-step process to begin fundraising for the project.

The Greater Metro Conference at 11:45 a.m. at Mitchell Park in Brookfield. Schools participating include: Brookfield East, Brookfield Central, Hamilton, Marquette, Menomonee Falls, Wauwatosa East,
West Allis Central and West Allis Nathan Hale.

A Community Affair

For 29 years the Community League in Menomonee Falls has held its fundraiser, "A Community Affair." This year's event will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at

The annual event will host over 90 juried exhibitors displaying the finest in arts, crafts, antiques, and collectibles. Featured as well will be the League’s homemade luncheon, snack bar, silent auction, quilt and prize raffles, and Pastries n’ More. All proceeds from “A Community Affair” support local and greater metropolitan charities, scholarships, civic projects, and Community League’s special service projects as well.

Tri-County YMCA run/walk

Join the YMCA for its first annual "5K Fun Run and 2-Mile Walk" at 9 a.m. Saturday.  The event begins and ends in the parking lot.  $10 registration fee includes a t-shirt.
