The Week Ahead: Chilly Fest and Distinguished Young Women

A look a what's coming up this week in Menomonee Falls.

Here's a look at what's on the calendar this week in Menomonee Falls. 

Chilly Fest 

The village's annual Chilly Fest celebration will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in Mill Pond Park and throughout the Village Centre. Ice carving, winter games, children's games, and a chili competition are all planned for Saturday's event. "Warm Up to the Arts" art sale in the middle lobby of the Associated Bank building will also be held concurrently. 

Distinguished Young Women 

The Distinguished Young Women of Menomonee Falls Scholarship Program will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Menomonee Falls High School Auditorium.  Thirteen participants will be competing for the title and the opportunity to compete in Wisconsin’s Distinguished Young Women program on Aug. 3.

Falls Patio Players Auditions 

Falls Patio Players will hold open auditions for the musical “9 to 5” at 6:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at North Middle School. We are looking for a large and varied cast of adults ages 16 to 70.  Performance dates are April 19, 20, 21 and 26, 27, 28.  Prepare 16 bars of a song in your key and bring sheet music, accompanist provided. 

Chocolate Lovers Open House-Winter Warm Up

You're invited to Wildwood Highlands "Chocolate Lovers Open House-Winter Warm Up" from from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at N78W17445 Wildwood Dr.

Movies at the Library 

The Menomonee Falls Public Library will have two romantic offerings for its February Monthly Movies this week.  The films to be shown are "Somewhere in  Time" and "The Lucky One".  The movies will be shown in the library’s Meeting/Community Room off the main lobby.  Admission is free to all, based on the movie’s rating.
