Riverside Teachers Get a Shave for Heart Health

Students raised more than $7,200 for the American Heart Association in one day.

On Friday, students at Riverside Elementary School jumped rope for the American Heart Association, and teachers lost a little bit of hair.Β 

The students raised over $7,200 in a single day. Over the past 12 years, the jump rope event has raised over $80,000 dollars. The teachers were also in need of a thicker knitted cap as they had their heads shaved to cap the successful event.Β
