Police Beat: Opinionated Vandals Turn Private Property into a Personal Editorial
Incidents from the Menomonee Falls police reports.
Vandals who found themselves in the police reports Thursday felt a need to write their own editorials on property in Menomonee Falls.
Sometime between 3 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. Monday a perhaps disgruntled vandal spray-painted “F--- Police” along the east wall at N88W15095 Cleveland Ave. The building is part of a multi-family apartment complex.
On Monday at 12:28 a.m., unknown politically minded vandals spray-painted “OBAMA SUCKS” in white paint on the blacktop roadway at the intersection of Mineola Drive and Teepee Court. A witness reported hearing a paint can drop and car doors shut several houses down at the time of the incident.

- Between 5:30 p.m. June 23 and 6:55 a.m. June 24, an unknown suspect stole a $43,000 skid loader from the We Energies construction site at W140N9001 Lilly Road. The skid loader was parked inside the building that was under construction.
- A small baggy of marijuana was found near the entrance of , N84W15670 Appleton Ave., at 8:48 p.m. June 24.
- An suspect described as a black male stole a 44-year-old Hartford woman’s wallet from her purse between 11:45 a.m. and 12:05 p.m. Monday at N89W14700 Patrita Dr.
- Thieves made off with $1,665.80 worth of scrap metal between 5:30 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Monday from Multi Fab Products. The suspects stole an unknown amount of 30-pound metal curb angles and bumper plates. Suspects possibly used a heavy-duty truck with dual tires to haul the metal from the scene.
- Between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. June 23, someone stole a bike from an open garage at a home on the W14000 block of Ash Drive.
- Between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday a person broke off the passenger side mirror and punctured a hole in the plastic cover below the windshield of a vehicle parked in the lot at Lime Kiln Park. Extra patrols were requested in the area.
- A 43-year-old Mayville woman was arrested for a first offense OWI at 1:34 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Lilly Road and Houston Drive. The woman was driving erratically and showed signs of intoxication. A preliminary breath test revealed she had a BAC of 0.12.
- Video surveillance at Woodman’s Food Market, W124N8145 Highway 145, caught vehicle thieves on tape at 5:34 p.m. June 23. The subjects, driving a white Cadillac DeVille, pulled up next to a gold Toyota Camry and broke the passenger window with a screwdriver. The suspects stole an iPod and its charger from the vehicle.
