Police Beat: Man Steals 40 Boxes of Cigars
Incidents from the Menomonee Falls police reports.
A suspect who entered the on Appleton Avenue Saturday was apparently a connoisseur of White Owl cigars, but only when they’re free.
According to a report from the Menomonee Falls Police Department, a black male wearing a black jacket and purple hooded sweatshirt underneath entered the BP, N71W13161 Appleton Ave., at 7 p.m. and stole 40 boxes of White Owl cigars.
The man was approximately 6 feet tall and weighed 150 to 180 pounds. The total cost of the stolen cigars amounted to $125.

A possible suspect vehicle is a black Chevrolet Cavalier.

- A 3:40 a.m. Saturday, officers discovered graffiti painted on the supports of the old Silver Spring bridge on the W12000 block of Silver Spring Road.
- From August to November, scrap metal theft has been a reoccurring issue at Builders Hardware at W165N5690 Continental Pkwy. Over the past 3 ½ months, the company’s owner estimated that $3,500 worth of metal had been stolen. The thefts primarily occurred on the weekends, but are now virtually a nightly problem. The owner asked police about placing a pole camera on the grounds.
- Between 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Nov. 26, an unknown suspect stole a car stereo and several CDs from an unlocked vehicle parked on the W16000 block of Main Street. The victim was unable to provide any identifying information.
- At 9:30 a.m. Saturday, two pallets filled with 20-pound boxes fell on top of two employees at , N48W13900 Hampton Rd. The fall caused minor injuries and both employees were treated and released.
- Between 3 p.m. Nov. 23 and 6:30 a.m. Nov. 26, a person stole six propane tanks from Wrico Stamping, N50W13471 Overview Dr. The subject pried open the security padlock to gain entry to the tanks.
- At 4:13 p.m. Nov. Nov. 25 two women stole merchandise from store, N95W18000 Appleton Ave. Both suspects were placed into custody and cited for shoplifting.
