UPDATE: Power Restored in Menomonee Falls

At one point, more than 1,000 homes and businesses had no electricity Tuesday; things now back to normal.

UPDATE: After a severe thunderstorm that rolled through Waukesha County Tuesday at one point left 1,000 Menomonee Falls homes and businesses without power, electricity has restored for all We Energies customers.

The utility reported no outages in the village as of 7:15 a.m. Wednesday.

Residents in other parts of Waukesha County are not as fortunate, however, as there were still more than 4,400 customers without power Wednesday morning, We Energies reported.

Tuesday’s brief storm darkened the skies for less than an hour, but left many throughout Menomonee Falls in the dark once it passed through.

At 4:20 p.m.Β  Tuesday, 1,068 customers in Menomonee Falls were affected by power outages. Throughout Waukesha County, 8,854 customers were without power, and approximately 16,000 customers were in the dark throughout southeastern Wisconsin.
