The Menomonee Falls and Lannon fire departments responded to a that started about 11 a.m. Friday outside a home on Rainbow Drive. The leak started after a part broke during routine maintenance of a gas meter. Five homes were evacuated as a precautionary measure.

Northwest Beads to begin liquidating inventory

co-owners Patty Bartlein and Julie D’Amico-Beres will begin liquidating the inventory in as they prepare to step down from the business. Although they've had several inquiries about the business, a solid buyer has yet to come forward.

CVS Pharmacy construction to begin in summer

Menomonee Falls residents will need to to shop at the CVS Pharmacy that will be constructed at Appleton Avenue and Pilgrim Road. Construction will begin this summer.

61-year-old Falls man faces charges after sex with 16-year-old

A 61-year-old Menomonee Falls man is had sex with a 16-year-old girl he met Online. Gregory W. Stoermer was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Wednesday with one count of lewd and lascivious behavior for allegedly having sex with the underage girl during a January rendezvous at his residence.

Menomonee Falls grows despite tough 2010 economic climate

In the midst of a challenging economic climate, in Menomonee Falls in 2010. The village saw an uptick in residential, commercial and industrial development last year. In 2010, the village surpassed Madison in total manufacturing assessed value. At $288 million of assessed manufacturing value, Menomonee Falls now only trails Green Bay and Milwaukee for highest manufacturing value in the state.
