Prosser picks up 7,500 votes in Waukesha County

This the state, and Patch had a team of reporters in Waukesha throughout the day. In a stunning development that instantly changed the race for the state Supreme Court, a county clerk's error on election night added 7,582 votes for incumbent Justice David Prosser over challenger JoAnne Kloppenburg.

Falls Plan Commission voices support for a Walmart development

Gatlin Development Co., a national developer of Walmart retail stores, to raze the vacant Piggly Wiggly, N88W15507 Main St., and construct a small-scale, 40,000-square-foot, Walmart Neighborhood Market. The plan also includes building three other retail businesses that would front Main Street. Although they didn't take formal action Tuesday, Plan Commissioners were supportive of paving the way for the new development.

School board closing in on superintendent decision

The Menomonee Falls School Board will to three finalists this week. The School Board has narrowed the field of candidates down from 29, to three. The new superintendent will be introduced at the May 9 board meeting.

Prosser wins big in Menomonee Falls

State Supreme Court justice David. T. Prosser over his challenger JoAnne Kloppenburg, a state prosecutor. Prosser received 8,449 votes, or 72 percent of the votes cast for the high court. JoAnne Kloppenburg collected 3,265 votes, or 28 percent of the vote in Menomonee Falls.
