Flat Tire Dooms Drunken Driver

A 26-year-old man was caught driving drunk on Appleton Avenue with a tire that was a bit more than low profile.

A drunken driver didn’t exactly keep a low profile Sunday.

A 26-year-old Slinger man was caught driving northbound on Appleton Avenue around 2:42 a.m. Feb. 24, but his rear driver side tire was flat. The man was pulled over near Appleton Avenue and Fleet Avenue. The man appeared to be intoxicated and failed field sobriety tests.

The man had a blood-alcohol level of 0.16. He was cited for a second offense OWI and released to a sober adult.
