Run For State Title Comes Up Short

A strong season came to a close Monday morning in Cedarburg

The Menomonee Falls Indians’ baseball season came to an end Monday in Cedarburg.

Falls lost to Arrowhead High School (24-9, 13-8 Classic 8) 7-4 in the first game of sectionals in the WIAA state baseball tournament. The Indians (27-5, 17-3, Greater Metro) went into the tournament as the top seed, and defeated Slinger 6-1 in the regional final after a bye in the first round.

The Indians were led by seniors Nick Mandella, Joel Zyhowski, Cole Morris, Ryan Bowe, Paul Fitzgerald, and Troy Kenkel. The Indians also clinched the baseball team’s eighth conference championship.
