Meet Distinguished Young Woman Participant Sally Moy

This week's Distinguished Young Woman participant is Sally Moy.

Rehearsals have now officially started for the young ladies participating in this year's program. As I get to observe the rehearsals, I have to say we have an extremely talented group who learn very quickly. I don’t envy the judges as they will have their work cut out for them.

This week's featured Distinguished Young Woman is Sally Moy.

Sally is the older sister to siblings, Andy and Winnie. Although her college choice is undecided at the moment she has the passion to pursue a career in video Production or music production. Her activities include Key Club, Milwaukee Modern Chinese School, Menomonee Falls Girls Tennis, editing videos, mixing music, singing and dancing.

Why did you decide to sign up for the DYW Program?

When I first heard about this program last year, it seemed really fun to me but I would have never thought I would actually do it. It really was a coincidence because the first day of the DYW meeting, I was supposed to stay after school to have work checked by a teacher, but the teacher had a meeting so I didn't have anything to do.

I told my friend this and she told me about the DYW meeting after school and told me to come and I did! I wanted to see what this was all about. At the meeting I found more about this program in depth. From getting scholarships to getting more experience to meeting new people. This was the kind of thing that could get me "out of my box" and get out of my comfort zone so I went ahead and signed up. Lets see where this will lead me in the future.Β

What or who encouraged or motivated you to participate in the DYW Program?

Well, I would have to say my friend who told me about this program in the first place. My parents are also the ones motivating me to always do my best.

What do you hope to get out of the program?

I would like to get more experienced. I want to become a strong woman and be more confident in the things I do. I also would like to meet new people and get to know some of the girls in this program that I rarely ever talk to.

What is something you would like people to know about you?

I would like everyone to know that I never give up in the things I do. If I truly care about something I do, I will certainly try my absolute hardest. And because I'll do whatever it takes to get to the top. That will never change.

Sally is the perfect reason why young girls should consider participating in this program. She is truly a pleasure to have among this group.
