Why did you decide to sign up for the DYW Program?

I decided to sign up for the DYW program because I thought it would be a great opportunity that would allow me to meet new people, learn more about myself, and gain skills to help prepare for my future. I always thought it would be very fun to participate in the program, and I am excited to begin the process and compete for the DYW title.

What or who encouraged or motivated you to participate in the DYW Program?

I was motivated to participate in the DYW program by my willingness to meet new people and outgoing personality. I was also encouraged by my parents, friends, and current Menomonee Falls DYW, CeCi Scheuber. I remember hearing her talking so highly about the program when she was participating, and it made me want to participate in what I think will be an awesome experience.

What do you hope to get out of the program?

From the DYW program, I hope to meet and better get to know the girls participating, learn more about myself and others, and gain skills that will help me now and in the future. I am already looking forward to the fun activities and process of participating in DYW.

What is something you would like people to know about you?

I would like people to know that I am a very optimistic and compassionate person. My thoughts and actions are driven by my desire to be the best person I can be. I strive to spread my joy to others though helping and listening to them. I hope to affect the lives of the people I love, in the same ways that they inspire me to achieve my dreams.

We are very proud to introduce you Meredith and look forward to sharing this journey through the Distinguished Young Women Scholarship Program with her.
