Menomonee Park Beginning Anglers & Lil' Bobbers Wrap Up Their Fishing Class

Menomonee Falls/Sussex Beginning Fishing Class received an exciting announcement on Monday following the conclusion of the 1st class--

It seems there was some confusion as the 18 members of the HookedUp101 Beginning Fishing Class were planning to return on WEDNESDAY for their 2nd class instead of TUESDAY.

When this educator said, "See you tomorrow!", parental confusion came to the forefront, BUT was quickly followed up by a wonderful surprise...I mean...who wouldn't get excited about 5 days of fishing class versus just 3 for the week!

When the clouds parted during the week, these anglers put all their weekly practice into action as they took to the various shorelines surrounding the Menomonee Park Quarry Pond and quickly started catching them in numbers (See attached photos)!

The Lil' Bobbers from Menomonee Falls & Sussex communities also gathered on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with their parents to share a few fish stories,  identify the two most often caught panfish, perfect 2 productive casting techniques, master a fishing knot to help them rig their new rods, and of course catch a few fish!

It's always so fun to watch a few anglers in each Lil' Bobbers class catch the first fish of their lives.  Many of them come away from the class with the ability to take their own fish off the hook and release them.  Most can also bait their own hook!

Thanks for the summer memories anglers!  Perhaps we'll see you again this winter for some ice fishing!
