Toppers Pizza is Coming to Menomonee Falls

Construction crews still have a lot of work to do, but the first lease is a lock in the new building on Pilgrim Road and Main Street.

For months, the corner of Main Street and Pilgrim Road was nothing more than a mud pit. Today, the steel beams are rising on the “landmark” corner building, and Toppers Pizza will be the building’s first tenant.

Toppers Pizza will occupy a 2,800-sqaure-foot space in the two-tenant building, according to CBRE Vice President Andrew Stefanich. CBRE is a commercial real estate company.

There are currently three Toppers locations within 10 miles of Menomonee Falls. Toppers Pizza is headquartered in Whitewater, Wis., and franchises are located throughout the Midwest.

Stefanich said construction should be completed early next year, and Toppers could open for business in spring. Stefanich they are still negotiating with possible tenants for the building’s second 3,200-square-foot space.

Virtually a year ago to the day, construction crews demolished the crumbling gas station that was an eyesore on a prominent intersection in Falls. The Village Board to help buffer the developer’s construction costs. The gas station left behind soil contamination that required remediation.

The Village Board required the building to stand out as a "landmark" building with distinct, aesthetically-pleasing design.
