Schwabenhof – Falls' German Meeting Place Since 1968

From fish fries to wedding banquets, the Schwabenhof accommodates all occasions.

The Schwabenhof, located at N56W14750 Silver Spring Dr., has been a German meeting place in Menomonee Falls since 1968. It is home to the United Donauschwaben of Milwaukee, a group of ethnic German descendants who keep their heritage alive by promoting the language, foods, and customs to the public at large. The restaurant clearly displays the German heritage in its décor with beer steins, soccer trophies, and photos of people in traditional folk costumes along the walls.

The restaurant, which includes a 400 person banquet hall, has been the site of many gatherings over the years, including proms, weddings, anniversaries, reunions, and birthdays. The Schwabenhof's outdoor pavilion seats 950 people under the roof, and 300 more can be served in the picnic area outside. The staff is "well-trained to handle any size crowd". The Spanferkel (pig roast) and Spit Roasted Chicken are favorites among large groups.

The Schwabenhof is known for its all-you-can-eat Fish Fry, ($10.95) and the all-you-can-eat Old World Fried Chicken ($10.95). The restaurant offers a full bar and a lunch menu, featuring burgers ($4.25) and fish sandwiches ($6.95), as well as a carry out menu.
