Photo Gallery: A Tour of the Radisson Hotel

The Radisson is officially open for business. In case you haven't had a chance to visit, here's a look at what you may be missing.

The Radisson Hotel welcomed their first guests last Thursday, and the hotel and restaurant are officially open. In case you haven't had a chance to visit the new digs, Patch took a photo tour of the hotel's amenities.

The hotel was originally slated to open Jan. 1, but a number of construction delays pushed the projected opening date back several times. Although the hotel opening was delayed, an official with the hotel investment group  told Village Board members last week that sometimes it takes a little more time to finish a masterpiece.

“This has taken a little bit longer, and it’s been more of an arduous process than we had planned,” said Dean Grosskopf, managing partner with Lodging Investors of Menomonee Falls. “But we expect this hotel will be here for 20 or 30 years as is, and we thought the extra few months to make it perfect were worth it.”

There are still a few loose ends to tie together, but the hotel is expected to be a 100 percent operation next week. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is set to be held May 19, and a two-day grand opening celebration is slated for June 8 and 9.
