Falls-Based BizLabs Cutting 34 Employees
BizLabs was considered one of the fastest growing companies in 2010 and 2011.
Roughly 30 people will lose their jobs as a result of layoffs at Falls-based BizLab Inc.
BizLab specializes in starting and acquiring Internet-based businesses to foster their growth. Angela Dent, BizLab human resources director, announced the layoffs on Tuesday. A total of 19 salaried and 15 hourly employees will be let go, which is a 34 percent reduction in the company's staff.
BizLab is located at N56W13365 Silver Spring Dr., and the company was spotlighted as one of the 50 fastest growing Wisconsin companies. In less than five years, the company had grown by 279 percent, added 122 jobs, and increased revenue from $5.7 million to $21.5 million. BizTimes.com ranked BizLab the fastest growing company in 2010.
BizLab ranked 1,131 overall among the fastest growing companies in the U.S., according to 2012 Inc. magazine rankings. BizLab is located at N56W13365 Silver Spring Rd.
