Falls Fred Astaire Raises 14K for Children's Hospital
The dance studio's Grand Opening celebration raised big bucks for Children's Hospital.
Fred Astaire in Menomonee Falls held a truly grand Grand Opening - over 14 grand to be precise.
Fred Astaire held the event in June and raised $14,121 for Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. The funds were generated through a raffle, silent auction, and from photos with "Dancing with the Stars" professional Anna Trebunskaya. The donations will all head toward the areas of greatest need at the hospital.
Owner Tim Brooks said they want to keep the momentum going, and are offering a free dance lesson for interested customers throughout July.
"Our goal was to get a lot of people out here, and it exceeded our expectations," Brooks said.
