Community Memorial Relocates Rehab and Sports Medicine Center

Community Memorial Hospital announced Tuesday that it relocated its Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Center to the Community Memorial Medical Commons.

Media Relations Specialist Shelly Janke said the center had simply outgrown its former location at N87W17301 Main St. The center was located on Main St. since 1991.

The new location within Building B of the medical commons, W129N7055 Northfield Drive, provides staff the space and modern amenities improve delivery of service.

The Worker Assessment and Rehabilitation programs and the Center for Pain Rehabilitation have also moved and are located at the center's new location.

"We are bringing all of the expertise and technology we have always provided to a new, state-of-the-art facility that will allow us to improve our service to the community," said Jodi LoDuca, director of physical medicine and rehabilitation.

A variety of services are offered at the 8,604-square-foot center including occupational therapy, physical therapy and an outpatient cardiac therapy program to name a few. The center also features a 3,000 square-foot sports fitness gym, a 2,600 square-foot job simulation gym and 14 private treatment rooms.

"The move was also about  convenience for our patients, because most of the treatments are offered at the medical commons," Janke said.
