A Peek Inside Sakura Sushi & Grill, Falls Newest Restaurant

The first sushi place in the village is now open, and offering a change of pace for restaurant-goers in Menomonee Falls.

In case you haven't notcied, Sakura Sushi & Grill has opened its doors for business as the first sushi place in the village.  With modern decor, a sleek bar, and fish tanks in the pillars, it's a nice place for a date or simply a change of pace in the village. Sakura offically opened May 16 at N78W14565 Appleton Ave., which is in the North Pointe Centre near Big Lots.  Sakura offers a wide range of New York-style Japanese fusion menu items. Sushi bar entrees range in price from $16 to $45, and come with Miso soup and salad. You can also order sushi or sashimi (thinly sliced raw fish) a la carte. Individual sushi rolls range in price from $9 to $15.  Sakura also offers Hibachi, Chinese, Thai, Teriyaki, and Donburi cooked entrees. Lunch specials are also held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Owner Chun Yeung, of Fond du Lac, has over 10 years of experience in the Japanese restaurant business. He opened his first restaurant in 2000 in Fond du Lac, but closed that location to tend to family matters back in Hong Kong. He got his start working for his parents in 1996. After a few years out of the country, Yeung is back in the states and is excited to start business in Falls If you're interested in trying something new in Menomonee Falls, Sakura is open from:

  • 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and 4:30-10 p.m. Monday through Thursday
  • 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and 4:30-10:30 p.m. Friday 
  • Noon to 10:30 p.m. Saturday 
  • Closed on Sundays
