"Never leave a man behind"-- this quote encompasses the promise to ensure the return of every deployed person to American soil. As Commander-In-Chief during wartime, Obama should know this. Just like a soldier who is deployed to an active area, Ambassador Christopher Stevens was deployed to an active area and should have expected the full protection of the Unitied States, as well as those who worked around him in his deployment. That didn't happen, and he, as well as three other Americans, are dead. The more we learn, the more we are finding out that their blood is on the hands of President Obama.
It is hard to determine what is fact or fiction, but was is absolutely appalling to this writer is the Administration's refusal to answer questions to disspell acccusations being made by not just some in the press, but of the parents of those who died.
What we do know, is that there were prior attacks on U.S. installations in Libya prior to the September 11th attack, including an IED attack on the U.S. Consulate on June 6th. What we do know, is that there were at least three attempts made by the Ambassador to have more security prior to September 11th, with the most recent being September 6th. What we do know is that they were denied, even though the State Department granted more security to Egypt for September 11th. What we do no is that the Secretary Panetta ordered the military to "stand down" twice during the attack when they wanted to attempt a rescue operation.
What we also know is that Susan Rice, went out to five Sunday morning new shows to claim that these attacks were due to some obscure You Tube video mocking Muslims and clear denials that this was not a terrorist attack. What we also know is the President's Press Secretary made the same claims, as did Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and President Obama himself, made similar claims over an 18 day period. Even after a hearing was held and it was made clear by military officials that this was clearly a terrorist attack, Obama went on his talk show tour and could not acknowedge what was obvious.
"It’s either willful deception or a degree of incompetence and failure to understand fundamental facts on the ground. Either one of those is obviously totally unacceptable. There’s failures (by the administration) all over the Middle East,” said McCain. I would concur with Senator McCain.
This administration is in "cover-up" mode. Susan Rice refuses to answer questions from the media. Hillary Clinton refuses to answer questions, as well as Panetta, Carney and the President himself. Meanwhile, General Ham, who at the time of the attack was the regions Supreme Commander, was relieved of his duties during the attack for failure to follow orders because he wanted to respond to the 7 hour attack early on.
Well, we have a chance in a few days to relieve the Cammander-In-Chief from his duties. Whether it is deception or incompetence, both suggest that Obama has neither the courage or ability to hold this post. Common sense should have dictated higher security on the anniversary of September 11th in a region that was unstable, had attacked at least once prior and warnings as recently as five days before were given to him.
Clearly, the only "lack of intelligence" lies with the President.
