Annual Parochial School Art Show on Display at Library

Friends of the Library Awards and Teacher's Choice Awards given on April 12.

About 1,000 pieces of artwork created by grades K3 through 12 are on display at the Menomonee Falls Public Library until April 20. 

The Over the Rainbow Seventh Annual Parochial School Art Show represents six local private schools including Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran School, Calvary Baptist School, Grace Evangelical Lutheran School, Pilgrim Lutheran School, St. Anthony Parish School, and St. Mary Parish School.

Awards were given at a presentation on April 12.

The Friends of the Library awarded a Purchase Award to Hailee Jeske, a sixth- grader at Bethlehem Lutheran, for her “Aborigine Dot Painting.”  Jeske’s painting will be framed and displayed at the bottom of the stairwell at the library.

Three Honorable Mention Awards were also given by the Friends of the Library to Elyse Otzelberger from Grace Lutheran School, Jonathon Dummann of St. Mary’s, and Matthew Honzelka of Bethlehem Lutheran.

In addition, each of the Art Teachers gave three Teacher Choice Awards to students from other schools, who were recognized with a certificate.
