Volunteers Needed for Annual Menomonee River Clean-Up

On April 20, volunteers will converge of the Menomonee River for its annual spring cleaning sponsored by the Milwaukee Riverkeepers.

Every year, volunteer residents gather along the Menomonee River to help clean up Falls' most picturesque waterway.

And every year, volunteers find plenty of strange things in the river - like a dehumidifier in 2011.

The event takes place at 8:15 a.m. on April 20. Volunteers will all meet at Rotary Park of of Fond du Lac Avenue in Menomonee Falls. The clean-up wraps up at noon. The Milwaukee Riverkeepers are sponsoring the event - as they do every year.
