Near-Record Heat Expected for Thursday
Even thought September is just around the corner, Wisconsin hasn't quite escaped the heat yet. Temperatures are expected to reach the mid-90s Thursday.
Just when cool summer nights offered some proof that the season was ready to transition into chilly fall days — another near record-breaking temperature is expected for Thursday.
The record high for this date in Milwaukee is 96. But temperatures in Menomonee Falls are expected to hit 95, according to the National Weather Service.
Humidity levels are expected to be low throughout the afternoon, the weather service said, which lowers the heat's "deadly afftects."

On Friday, Falls won't quite surpass 90, but temperatures are expected to reach 88.
