Malkin's Carpets Owner Elected to Community Memorial Foundation Board

Marty Schallock will join the 20-member board that organizes fundraising efforts for patient services and programs at CMH.

Marty Schallock was recently elected to the Board of Directors of Community Memorial Foundation.

Community Memorial Foundation has a 20-member Board of Directors that leads the fundraising efforts for patient services and programs at Community Memorial Hospital.

Schallock, of Mequon, is the owner of Malkin’s Carpets in Menomonee Falls. He has supported the Community Memorial Foundation for many years, having most recently served with his wife Debra as co-chairs of Spring Splendor – the Foundation’s annual gala. Schallock was elected to a three-year term.

“The Foundation Board members serve as hospital ambassadors to the community,” said Dennis Pollard, president of Community Memorial Foundation and Community Memorial Hospital. “Marty has given back to Menomonee Falls in many ways. As a board member, he will help lead our efforts to energize the community about the innovative and life-saving services our patients receive every day.”

Board members re-elected to a three-year term through 2014 were: Rick Binzak, Menomonee Falls; Dianne Johnson, West Bend; Michael Lauer, Hartland; and Phillip Strosahl, Menomonee Falls.

Officers re-elected to one-year terms were: Rick Binzak, chairman, Sharon Ellis, vice chairman, Michael Erwin, secretary and Daniel Hart, treasurer. Catherine Eastham was elected to a one-year term as assistant secretary.

Also at the annual meeting of the Community Memorial Foundation Board of Directors, Ronald Bast and Jodie Perthel, directors since 1989 and 1998, respectively, were honored for their years of service to the board. Bast also served as board chair from 1998 through 2004. Perthel will continue be actively involved in the Foundation’s Scholarship Committee.
