Main Street Construction Will Continue into Fall

Falls residents won't enjoy a construction-free commute west along Main Street until at least September.

Construction began in June along Main Street west of Highway 45 to 124th Street. Wisconsin Department of Transportation spokesman Mike Pyritz said construction is expected to wrap up in mid-September.

Pyritz couldn't say when all the Main Street onramps and offramps would open, but said it would likely occur before September.

The DOT is completing patch work and repaving the roadway. The DOT will also install a multi-use path along the road.
