Local Church Gathering Supplies For Oklahoma

Legacy Christian Church is collecting supplies to fill a trailer to aid residents in Oklahoma. The deadline to donate is next week.

A local church is partnering with two other southeastern Wisconsin churches to send a trailer filled with aid for the residents devastated by a tornado.

Legacy Christian Church is gathering supplies and will be sending a trailer to Oklahoma to assist with relief efforts. Legacy is working with Illinois-based One Purpose. They'll drop off their trailer in the Land of Lincoln and it will head to needy families. Both The Ridge Community Church in Greenfield and RiverGlen Christian Church in Waukesha are partnering in the effort.

"Since Legacy launched in 2011, we’ve always said we want to have an impact that is bigger than us, and leave a Legacy that extends beyond our four walls," said Legacy Lead Pastor Jarod Walker. "We feel this is just part of living that out.  And joining together with other churches in the Milwaukee area allows that impact to be even greater."
