There's nothing like getting outside in the sun and grabbing a tan while enjoying a good book. For teens, it's never a bad idea to stay sharp during the summer months by keeping on up your reading.
The is hosting summer reading programs for adults and teens this year.
This year, the library presents Between the Covers for the Adult Summer Reading program. Participants can sign up at the Adult Reference desk starting June 4.
Adults can read anything—a non-fiction book, a fiction book, an audio book, Playaways, and even e-books. Enter one book per week to win prizes drawn every Saturday until August 4. A grand prize will be drawn from all the entries after the program ends. For further information, call Karen at 262-532-8912.
Teens can “Own the Night” at the library during its 2012 Teen Reading Program.
If teens read one book per week they can enter their name to win prizes such as flash drives, book bags, and free books. This year, the library will also have passes to local attractions such as Pizza Hut, a Milwaukee Brewers game, Discovery World, and the Mitchell Park Domes.
A grand prize will be drawn after the program ends August 4. Stop by the Teen Zone and check out some summer reading choices at the library. Sign up for the program began June 4.
