Finishing Touches Completed on Lime Kiln Restoration

The historic kilns were rehabilitated as part of the village's 2012 capital project's plan.

The final details of the kiln restoration project were completed Friday in Lime Kiln Park.

Crews put the last touches on the project by erecting the decorative fence around the historic landmarks in one of Menomonee Falls' most popular parks. The project was part of a 2012 initiative by the village, and the kilns were repaired and tuck-pointed before the decorative fencing was installed.

The project was budgeted for $250,000 as part of the 2012 capital projects plan.
