Falls Fest Returns Thursday at Village Park

Softball, fireworks, music, and beer will not be in short supply throughout the weekend during the village's largest event.

In Menomonee Falls, festival goers don’t need to dig deep in their pockets to enjoy a few adult beverages at Falls Fest.

Unlike professional baseball games and other large festivals where beer can eclipse $7 a cup, thirsty Falls Fest fans can fill their cups for $3.50 at the annual four-day event that opens Thursday at in Menomonee Falls.

It gets better.

On Saturday and Sunday, beverages are slashed by $1 from noon to 5 p.m., and a brew will cost just $2.50. Of course, the deal applies to soda and water as well. Water is typically $1.50 and soda costs $2.

However, Falls Fest is about so much more than the beer. It’s about music and good times as well, and plenty are planned throughout the weekend. Here's the schedule for Falls Fest:

  • Thursday, 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Friday, 5 p.m. to midnight
  • Saturday, noon to midnight
  • Sunday, noon to 11 p.m.

Popular bands like the Eddie Butts Band, Chasin’ Mason, and the Sweet Tarts will return again this year. Hat Trick and North Coast Orchestra will also perform at the event.

Falls Fest also includes a few new additions to entertainment on the grounds. Dave and Buster’s will sponsor a tent with adult games, raffles and a prize wheel. Kids will also enjoy an inflatable rock wall this year. The beer tent has also been re-designed.

At 6:45 p.m. Thursday, the Menomonee Falls Fire Department and and police department will square off in the annual softball game. The MFFD is looking to defend its title against the MFPD last year. The game is a bit more interesting this year, since both departments are technically .

Softball tournaments will also be held throughout the rest of the weekend. Fireworks are planned at 9:45 p.m. on Sunday.
