Donations Needed for Blue Spring Fundraiser

A silent auction is in the works to help Ingrid Knippelmeyer get back on her feet again after a fire at Blue Spring Farm.

Just over a week ago, Ingrid Knippelmeyer lost everything when Blue Spring Farm went up in flames.

However, - in what is the norm in Menomonee Falls – the call to support from the community was rapid and organized. Phones were ringing before the flames were even extinguished.

Whether it was boarding the displaced horses or providing meals for the family, people were ready to help. The Wisconsin Hunter Jumpers Association is setting up a $1,000 matching relief fund for the family. The Seoul Creek Farm in West Bend, Wildwood Farm in Hartland, and Hall Saddlery tack shop in Sussex are all taking donations.

Now, several concerned residents are organizing a fundraiser to help the Knippelmeyer’s rebuild their business. Currently, they are looking for donations large and small to feature in a silent auction. Services, gift cards, and merchandise will all be accepted.

The Silent Auction will take place Friday, Jan. 25 at Sussex Bowl at a time to be determined in the near future.

If you are a business owner, or would like to donate, contact helpbluespringfarm@gmail.com with any information about donations.
