“It’s a free concert, it’s family friendly, and it’s a great way to take the family out for an evening picnic,” said Village Centre Director Barb Watters. “People absolutely love the concert series. After every concert someone will come up to us and thank the sponsors for supporting them.”

This year’s Thursday evening concerts in Village Park will include a food vendor, Braz’s Beef Factory, which is a new addition. Braz’s sells a variety of gourmet sandwiches and sausage sandwiches. Menu items are priced between $3.50 and $6.50. They plan to set up shop around 5:30 p.m.

“He was a crowd favorite who was out of the lineup a couple of years and he is back in,” Watters said.

New to the concert series this year are the bands Dusk, Scotch and Soda and Ed Franks.

“We try to have two new performers every year, and we try to keep audience favorites coming back,” Watters said.
