AcaDeca Team Qualifies for State...Again

Team has qualified for state eight out of nine years.

Accomplishment: Qualified for the state competition

Key to Awesomeness: They spend an awful lot of time together to become experts in a topic area to compete with area students, but they also have a lot of fun doing it. This year, it was one of the youngest teams in the history of the club. Despite their youth, the team still met up to the high expectations created by past teams.

“We have a young team, but we have a really good team this year,” said Mike Mullen, team advisor.

AcaDeca has been a club at the high school for nine years, and the team has qualified for the state competition eight of those years. This year, the team studied the math, science and literature of the Great Depression. The team will head to the state competition March 17-18 in the Wisconsin Dells.
