Falls Fest Kicks Off Thursday

The village's major annual celebration features music, games, attractions and fireworks.

Falls Fest begins Thursday! Chasin’ Mason, Sweet Tarts and Rebel Grace are among the headlining bands for the four-day festival, and be sure not to miss the Police vs. Firefighters Softball Game at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. More preview coverage is coming later this week on Menomonee Falls Patch.

Here is more news you need to know to make living life in the Falls just a bit easier this week.

  • Monday could be steamy but then cooler weather kicks back in. WISN 12 News forecasters project a quiet week beginning Tuesday, with highs between 72-75 for the most part. Last week’s heat wave is long gone, and you might need a jacket for Falls Fest.
  • Many gardeners got a late start this year, but crops are starting to come. Wednesday’s Farmers Market at North Junior High will have local produce, meats and homemade specialty items. It starts at 8 a.m.
  • Enjoy your lunch at Mill Pond Park on Friday with live music, as Dusk plays beginning at noon.
  • Finally, it will officially become football season (when is it not, really?) as the Green Bay Packers begin training camp on Friday. You can go see the team practice for free, weather permitting. Here is the complete practice schedule.
