Want a Kids-free Holiday Shopping Experience?

To take advantage of the "Holiday Drop and Shop" offered by the Optimist Club, you'll need to register by Dec. 1.

The holiday season is all about spreading cheer to friends and loved ones. But let’s be real. Purchasing those gifts that so often are behind the cheer can be a stressful endeavor – especially if you happen to be trampled by a Black Friday mob.

However, if you still have shopping to do, bringing the kids along can also compound your stress. Fortunately, the Optimist Club of Menomonee Falls is prepared to lend a helping hand.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8 at the Falls Community Center, the Optimists will offer a reprieve from the little ones for peaceful shopping. The club is partnering with the Menomonee Falls recreation department to offer childcare for your child. The club has planned an afternoon of fun and games that the kids will surely enjoy.

The event is open to all children between the ages of 3 and 10 who are potty trained. You can register online, or in person at the community center. When registering online, use the course code 490020. The deadline to register is Dec. 1.
