Volunteer Vegas-Style With These Local Opportunities

Different options to help out in the community.

 

To sign up for any of these volunteer opportunities or to learn more about volunteering, check out the United Way Volunteer Center. The following volunteer opportunities are available through the United Way of Waukesha County:

Vibrant Life Healthy Living Expo: Vibrant Life Vibrant Child!, Inc.
Vibrant Life Healthy Living Expo on Feb. 25 at the Waukesha County Expo Center is in need of Volunteers to assist with tickets, sales, setup, and its tasting safari. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age.

Volunteer for Classy ARCh Affair, Dinner and Auction:  ARCh
A dinner, silent and live auction to be held at the Marriott Milwaukee West in Pewaukee. Volunteers will do everything from registration, greeting guests, helping with raffles, to retrieving auction items at the end of the night. There will be a rehearsal for all volunteers a few days before the event and it is required in order to volunteer for the event. We ask that volunteers be more than 13 years old, but are in great need for adult volunteers 18 or older.

Casino Games:  Waukesha Springs Health & Rehabilitation Center
Feel like you're in Vegas! Help lead a casino game Thursday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Waukesha Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center. Simple math skills will help but not necessary - having fun with our residents is the main goal of this activity.

Volunteers must be minimum age is 18 years old. Volunteers will be trained by staff until they feel comfortable.

Program of Entertainment: Linden Court - Waukesha
Entertain seniors with a small group of singers or playing of an instrument. This can be a family, church group, scout group or neighborhood friends. We are looking for friendly volunteers that enjoy the senior population and have a passion for fun. Your program should be 45-60 minutes. The best times are morning at 10 a.m. and afternoon 1:30 p.m., 1:45 p.m., 2 p.m. or 2:30 p.m., during the week. Volunteers must be a minimum age of 16 years old.
