Thieves Target Several Falls Businesses

Equipment and an attempted theft at businesses around Menomonee Falls occurred over the past week.

Several business were the target of thefts over the past week in Menomonee Falls.

Sometime between 5 p.m. Oct. 12 and 10 a.m. Oct. 15, a person stole a leaf blower, hedge trimmer, and string trimmer from an unlocked trailer at Exclusive Services, N59W14176 Kaul Ave. The thief gained entrance into the fenced in parking lot of the business.

Between 3 p.m. Oct. 12 and 6:30 a.m. Oct. 15, a person stole a generator from Suburban Dry Wall, N79W14690 Appleton Ave. The generator is valued at $500 and was chained to a support beam, which was cut by the thief.

Between 6:30 p.m. Oct. 16 and 3:10 p.m. Oct. 17, an unknown person attempted to pry open three aluminum doors to access work vans parked inside a garage at Burton Mayer Corp., W140N9000 Lilly Rd. The business had previously reported a theft of catalytic converters in September, and has since parked vans in the garage.

A truck tailgate was stolen from a Ford F-250 parked in the north sales lot Ernie Von Schledorn. The theft occurred sometime between 9 p.m. Oct. 9 and 11 a.m. Oct. 10.

  • A 50-year-old man was issued a citation for theft of gas after police tracked him down in Sussex. The man was caught stealing gas from Mobil on Appleton Avenue. The cashier saw the man fill up and attempt to drive away, but was able to obtain a license plate number.
