POLL: The Most Romantic Restaurant in Menomonee Falls
Tell us the best Falls restaurant for a romantic date and you could win $50 in a random drawing before Valentine's Day.
With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, Menomonee Falls Patch is on a mission to identify the most romantic place to take your date for a nice dinner in the village.
In order to do this, we are looking for your help. We’ve identified 11 popular dining locations in Menomonee Falls. We need you to tell us which one is the best place to take a date. To determine a winner, mark your selection in the poll and explain your choice in the comments section. The explanation of your choice is key, and by adding your comment you will be entered into a random drawing for a $50 gift certificate to the business you choose.
Be sure to let us know if there’s a place that we missed on the poll.
The winner of the random drawing will be announced on Saturday, so get your votes in this week. Comments must be written before midnight on Friday to be accepted.

since I was young one of my favorite views of menomonee falls has been out the front window of AJ O'bradys "nautical room." I think that the waterfall is very romantic especially if you take a stroll down to the bottom after dinner.

Angelo's - the great staff, the live music, the wine list all contribute to the romantic ambiance.

I voted for Pepinos we have very limited choices in Meno. Falls and out of them it has the quietest dining area away from the bar. You can have a 2 person conversation without the next diner being right over your shoulder. The booths have "barriers" if you will, for some privacy. Dimly lite and candles at the tables add a bit...

I love going to RBG's. Great ambiance. Their potions are large enough to share with the one you love :) We have never had bad food. The bar is wonderful, the bartenders are fun and friendly and always make it a good time. It has the feeling of "Cheers" where everyone gets to know your name. Can't wait to see what romantic dinner specials they create for Valentine's Day to make it special as they always do.

I've got to say RBG as well, it's the only one that isn't a chain or hometown bar type. Even though they have no idea what they are doing in there and have completely screwed up our two experiences. But hey they decor is fancy and stuff.
Plus I have to watch after my investment

Briscoe County, only because it used to be Nino's Steak Roundup, where my bride and I met and held our wedding reception nearly 37 years ago. We return to "the scene of the crime" every year on our anniversary.

All nice places. I've heard a lot of good things about RBG, but I haven't been there yet. I voted for Angelo's. Love the darker atmosphere, wine and food. Add a little music - live or not - and it is a perfect evening!

Pepinos is our romantic spot. It is wonderfully decorated. It's quiet. No bright lights. And of course, what's more romantic than sitting across the one you love with a glass of wine and sharing an Italian meal.

I maybe old school, but MF does not have a supper club anymore, the closest on that list would be Rich's. Other hometown places that come to mind would be Trysting Place & the Bug Line Grill in Village Bowl. Isn't Valentine's Day supposed to be romantic and go out to a nice quiet place with atomsphere. We need a Lohmann's or Wobig's back!

Angelo's Cafe Vino by far. No one else in the Falls has the great atmosphere and variety of dinner specials. They have a nice wine selection and live music as well. Great place for a date or night out with the ladies.

It was a toss up between Cafe Vino - fun, intimate decor, music, great food and great service and the hotel which also has nice decor and the advantage of being able to stay overnight :0) K

My vote is for RBG's because great food, great people and great atmosphere equals a memorable Valentine's Night meal. And yes Virginia, they do have a surf and turf special on the menu.

I would have to say Cafe Vino. Its lightly dim which sets the tone for a romantic/sexy ambiance...then you add live jazz/blues...great wine/martini list.

Carl:
I saw your poll on the Patch. My family goes back at least four generations in the Falls. I’m not on Face book but I wanted to weigh in on your survey.
If I were to look for a romantic spot the closest I could get would be A.J.'s. It's not so much the atmosphere but the staff. In my past experience A.J.’s waiters and waitresses really treat you like they want you there and are most likely to pamper you the best. I don’t think will happen anywhere else.
However...I'll also have to add that Menomonee Falls simply does not have an eatery in the class of "romantic" much less "fine dining". If you want to start an interesting survey...ask your readers how far they would have to go for fine dining and ambiance at an affordable value? If I'm restricted to the Falls, I'll pick A.J.'s.

I haven't had a date in a long time :-) However, if I were to go on one, I can't think of any "romantic: places in the Falls. Sad to say... That said, you make the date what you want it to be, even McDonalds can be fun and romantic if you have your heart set on it!
