How Much Do School Administrators Make?

Local administrator salaries are in line with other county districts. Use our interactive database to see which school administrators are the highest and lowest paid throughout the state of Wisconsin.

School adminstrator salaries in the Menomonee Falls School District are largely in line with nearby communities, according to data compiled by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Superintendent Patricia Greco was paid $158,000, last year. Greco was the fifth highest paid administrator in Waukesha County, and the 16th highest in the state. Hamilton Superintendent Kathleen Cooke earned $163,531 and Germantown Superintendent Susan Borden received $132,000. Gibson retired at the end of the 2011-12 school year.

The numbers are from salary information released on the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction's website. The data is from the 2011-12 school year.

School districts across the state saw a larger than usual cut in staffing in the 2011-12 school year than in year's past, according to a press release from the DPI, with 2,312 positions being eliminated and 60 percent of those spots being teacher jobs.

"The 2011-13 state budget made historically high cuts to education funding," the press release said. "General school aids were cut by $749 million and the per pupil revenue limit was reduced by $1.6 billion from prior law. These large reductions accelerated the budget and staffing cuts many districts have been making over the years."

Menomonee Falls passed a balanced budget for 2012-13  that reduced the tax levy, and has not experienced significant staffing changes.

This database will allow you to search administrative salaries only in the 424 districts statewide.

You 2 are faux news drools. They pay their own salary from their taxes! The 1%ers in this country are the problem and make everyone else poor.
